How Do I Apply?

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or better
  • Full-time or part-time enrollment
  • Willing to teach in a high-need school

Applicants may be from any of the following populations:

  • Educational paraprofessionals with some college credits who are currently employed by one of the school districts or Head Star
  • Second-career professionals, including military personnel
  • Individuals with barriers to attending college (time, family obligations, etc.) who may enroll in online courses
  • Project ARRIBA affiliated students

UTEP applications for the summer semester will be available February 1st in the STEP UP office-Room 410, College of Education, or at: www.utep.edu/education/stepup
